Under the Covers is the first in a series of Ancient Heat tribute EPs celebrating disco’s rich history. The EP was recorded this past winter at Revolver Studios in our hometown of Portland, Ore., and has been released digitally alongside a limited run of 100 cassettes. With this EP, our goal is to bring new vivacity and inventiveness to some deeply soulful cuts, while still conveying a great sense of respect, admiration and indebtedness to those who came before.
If you’d like to get your hands on one of the cassettes, come to our release show at Holocene on May 29th! We only made 100 and I’m sure they’ll go quite fast.
